Success comes Tomorrow

Why is it that all we can see is “overnight success?” I recently started college and it hit me the other day that in order for me to have a high-paying job with benefits, I was actually going to have to work hard for it. I couldn’t just say ta da! and have my degree over and done with it and already be on the path to success. There is no such thing as overnight success. Anyone who says so is a liar. In our world of instant gratification and the now, now, now attitudes, success is not an option, it’s a must. And it’s better if it happens when you’re young and still somewhat “happening.” There is a reason why the only people I see driving luxury automobiles and living in mansions are older. Because they worked a lifetime for those benefits. They didn’t just wake up one day and say, “Success befall me now!” Too bad real life isn’t like that.
