I was reading, “Stuff White People Like” the other day and their most recent post made me laugh; as in genuine chuckling here. Grammar is my mojo, you see. However, mine isn’t perfect so I tend not to harp on it as much as I do other things, like spelling. Spelling. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Incorrect spelling drives me INSANE. Getting a word wrong like the infamous, “two’s” or, “theirs” drives me NUTS. And, unfortunately, in this text messaging world that I live in, misspelled words seem to occur more and more often. It was only the other day when I caught myself making a major error. I typed out “to” instead of “two.” Oh, the horror. What was almost worse though, was the fact that my friend wouldn’t have even caught it if I hadn’t pointed it out. Of course, most people would have put “2″ thereby ending the problem. But text-typing isn’t really my thing-I feel as though my message is somehow lacking when I use shortcuts-so that solution wasn’t so readily available. Anyway. Learn to spell, people.
