As I listen to the Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet by Henry Mancini, I can’t help but long for another composer of his capacity. While I might belong to the “younger generation”, I certainly don’t confine my tastes in music to what they listen to. Music today, the majority of music today, is total trash. It’s just a jumble of computer generated songs sung by ugly blonde pop stars. Why can’t someone come up with a sound that’s real? I want music- something that soars through my veins and makes me want to fly away on a fluffy cloud filled with rainbows.
That sentence.
It sounds like something out of a Disney movie. If someone were to write a Disney movie, that sentence would be in it. It’s a terrible bit of words strung together. But I’m too lazy to think of something else.
Back to music… the 21st century needs a composer. We need a composer for the ages. And I don’t mean Timberland.
