Because I really think that math geniuses are extinct. Lately, it seems as though the number of English, Business, Political Science, and Pre-Law majors has gone steadily up, while Math majors have decreased. Is it because you can’t make money doing math? No, of course not. My theory is that no one is actually good at math anymore. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t see how you can be good at algorithms and square roots. It’s as though math is a whole other language; one that is impossible to become fluent in. Are there any mathematicians out there? Or have they all decided to become novelists?
